PLANNED ACTIVITIES
The project is divided into the following
main stages:
Macro-stage 1: monitoring
the current situation and best practices already tested
in other regional and Community situations;
Macro-stage 2: creation of
a methodological programme of operations to assist women
victims of trafficking and forced prostitution by setting
up individually targeted workgroups in order to develop
intervention models which, based on best practices experimented
in the local, national and transnational context, concern:
health, psychological and legal assistance, initial contact,
guidance, skills and training assessment, work induction,
accommodation, cultural integration, the promotion of desegregation,
and social, employment and professional integration. Representatives
of the beneficiaries and of the Steering Committee will
take part in the sessions, in order to bring together the
needs of the beneficiaries with those of the labour market,
creating a model for intervening in policies and the implementation
of regulations;
Macro-stage 3: involvement
of the economic and trade-union system to facilitate and
encourage integration into the jobs market by raising awareness
among companies through trade unions and trade associations
about the problem of trafficking, using a methodology to
obtain horizontal and gender mainstreaming;
Macro-stage 4: experimentation
of the methodology on women who have escaped from trafficking,
in order to develop a model that can be adapted to the needs
of the target group, bearing in mind future transferability
to an indefinite number of beneficiaries, and making it
exportable to other situations, carrying out an innovative
experiment: a “credit card” with a personal
programme for social, employment and housing integration
for each woman involved;
Macro-stage 5: implementation
of vertical mainstreaming in cooperation with the Steering
Ccommittee in order to make the best practices and most
significant experiments of the project transferable, affecting
training, employment and social policies and systems at
the European, national, and sub-national levels;
Macro-stage 6: awareness
raising, communication, publication and spreading knowledge
of the network, with the following objectives:
- promoting activities to raise awareness among the institutions
of the range of problems, particularly that of women victims
of trafficking;
- launching communication campaigns for public opinion in
general;
- promoting the spread and implementation of the actions
and methodologies experimented.
- expanding the network;
